Truth is I’m a big fan of MUSIC

Some people call me a Muser because I’m a fan of Muse, but that’s not what I am, also I’m a big fan of Oasis but I’m not Madferit, I’m a fan of Blur aswell, and Pulp… I am a huge fan of Nirvana and Pearl Jam to mention a few, and I love Weezer, and Eels, and Death Cab For Cutie. I love Arctic Monkeys, and Miles Kane… Foals is another one of my faves, I’m in love with Paul Banks, and Interpol. I think of Dave Grohl as my uncle, and so is Iggy Pop. Jonny Greenwood is a genious and Radiohead are gods. Alison Mosshart is my spirit animal no matter if she sings on her own, with Jamie in The Kills or Jack White in The Dead Weather… Florence Welch is ethereal and magical, I guess I could go on but life is too short and I don’t have much time to tell you the rest.

Random Thoughts: I love music festivals, I really do.

It’s like another world meant for you and people like you. It’s your own world, where nobody misunderstands you, because all the people dresses like you, likes the music that you like, eats the food you eat, and has the fun you have… with you. It’s a community in a way.

When at home everything seems to crumble around you, when you’re in your bedroom, alone with your headphones and the music is loud because you don’t want to hear the silence, the loneliness. You go to school or work and nobody likes you, or few people do, since you and your little bunch are different… when life is dull and every day is just another day of classes, or work, or nothing to do. You walk the streets and look around you, nobody is like you; even worse, everybody’s the same but you. You try to get in touch with the rest of the world but the more you try the more isolated you feel. 

And then the summer comes, and you have your 3-day festival ticket, your wellies, your pocket money and your bag ready, and you are nervous because not only you are going to see your favourite bands but also you’re going to meet up with your friends, with that family you’ve created… then you can feel that life is worth living.

I’m counting the days for Optimus Alive festival, one week, only one week to be myself, to feel free.
